KA-BAR knives started during World War II when they submitted a design for a fighting knife to the Marine Corps. Demand for the knife was so great that the U.S. Government assigned several other companies to manufacture similar knives. This put KA-BAR on the map and they have been designing and manufacturing high quality knives ever since.
