Your
Full-Time Guide for the Athabasca River for Trophy
Northern Pike & Walleye
The
Athabasca River
is one of Alberta's
unique hidden treasures. This river starts as a glacier
in the Rocky Mountains near Jasper, Alberta and flows
approximately 1231 kms through Northern Alberta
draining
into Lake Athabasca. This river is surrounded by
pristine fauna, offering ample wildlife viewing along
the shore or in the sky above and houses a wonderful
population of game fish, such as Walleye, Northern Pike,
Burbot, Goldeye, Rocky Mountain Whitefish, Bull Trout,
Grayling and Rainbow Trout.
Reel
Angling Adventures
is proud to offer
you this wonderful opportunity to explore and experience
this river as we guide you in our 16 foot explorer jet
boat. Come with
us
as we take you to some of the best spots along the river
and try to hook on to some Monster Northern Pike
in the back sloughs or Trophy Walleye along this majestic river.
At times this river is as good as a fly-in fishing lake
and only a 90 minute drive from Edmonton, makes a great
day trip. Best times to reserve your fishing trips
on this river are June 1st to June 20th and between mid
July to October 31st.
Your Full Time Guide
is Ray Kohlruss. Ray has been fishing
the
Alberta waters ever since childhood. With many years of
fishing experience, Ray brings his knowledge and
excitement to each and every fishing trip. Ray
likes to practice catch and release, and treats all the
fish with great care when releasing. Besides being an avid angler, he
also enjoys hiking, wildlife/bird watching, and being in
the great outdoors.
