2008 Pheasant Hunting Forecast

All across the Midwest and Upper Midwest, signs are pointing to an excellent pheasant hunting season. The typical pheasant powerhouses - South and North Dakota, Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, and Nebraska - will again top the list. Unfortunately, because of the potential for massive habitat losses this year and next, namely Conservation Reserve Program (CRP) acres under soon-to-expire contracts, we may soon be referring to 2007 as "the good old days."

Pheasants Forever Television nominated for "Best Bird Hunting Show" on Outdoor Channel

Pheasants Forever Television, a production of Ron Schara Productions which airs on Outdoor Channel, has been nominated for a Golden Moose Award in the "Best Bird Hunting Show" category.

The Golden Moose Awards were created to recognize and honor producers of the best outdoor programming appearing on Outdoor Channel during the previous year. The Golden Moose Award Fan Favorite voting is scheduled to start Dec. 7th and will run until Dec. 31st. Fans will be able to log onto www.outdoorchannel.com and cast votes for their favorite Outdoor Channel show. The Golden Moose Awards will take place on Jan. 17th, 2009 at the Hard Rock Live/Café in Orlando.
